If you don’t have grated or sliced cheese, you can cut the cheese into long strips, which you wrap in slices of pressed ham.

  1. Beat the eggs thoroughly with salt.

  2. Flatten the bread with a rolling pin, put ham and grated cheese on it.

  3. Roll it up tightly, then put it into the beaten eggs and line the egg rolls in a fireproof bowl spread with butter.

  4. Pour the remaining beaten eggs on top, sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C  (356 °F) for 15-20 minutes.

  5. The baking time can vary from oven to oven, depending on the size of the rolls and how much we like the eggs to be fried.
